Before & After School Club

Manager: Lisa Burns

Deputy Manager: Sharon Nester

Our breakfast club and after school club is now provided by Didsbury CE after being run successfully for many years by Elm Grove Kids' Club an independent charity that worked closely with the school. The club is run on a day-to-day basis by Lisa Burns, Club Manager, and Sharon Nester, Deputy Manager, and a team of qualified playworkers.

In addition, many of the staff at the club also work within the school, either as lunchtime organisers or support teaching assistants and therefore they get to know the children really well.

Breakfast & Snack Times

During each morning session we provide cereal, toast and fruit. During the afternoon session we provide a light, healthy snack and have a fruit bowl available later in the afternoon. A menu is displayed at the start of each week. Children can make requests for a particular snack which we always aim to fulfil. Children will also have access to juice and water throughout the sessions.

Registering a Child

Parents/carers can confidently register their child(ren) at the club, booking them in when availability allows either on a permanent or an ad hoc basis. (Upon termination of a permanent place one month's written notice is required.)

Parents can register their child at the club by completing all the 'Registration Forms' and returning them to the school or by emailing them to:

kidsclub@thrive-dce.com

Registration forms need to be fully completed before a child can be booked into the club. Please find the club's behaviour policy attached below.

Extra Curricular Activities

Every term, we run an extensive timetable of extra-curricular activities as part of our curricular enrichment programme. With about a dozen clubs taking place during any one term across the school, there is plenty to choose from; at lunch-time and at the end of the school day.

Activities are organised by staff in their own time or by external providers. These can range from football, netball, art, tennis, dodgeball, yoga, knitting, chess, running club, recorder, book club, choir and piano. The clubs can change half termly however some remain on for longer.
